Intel Core i9-7900X, the first clients reviews

The first opinions of customers for the Intel Core i9-7900X have just fallen, and it looks pretty good.

Customers were able to overclock the processor using watercooling system. One could climb up to 4.7 GHz with a homemade loop, and have temperatures of 70 ° C in stress test. What is excellent! Another up to 4.5 GHz (and 61 ° C max) with a Corsair Hydro Series H110i; Another up to 4.6 GHz with an Arctic Liquid Freezer 120.

The upcoming firmwares for the X299 motherboards should still help to reduce power consumption and thus the temperature.

Some talk about huge time savings with executions globally twice as fast as an Intel Core i7-7700K overclocked at 5 GHz for different programs.
