Performance comparison between the two processors, with the Dual AMD EPYC 7601 and the Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M. The first has a turbo frequency of 3,2 GHz, with 64 cores, and the second has a maximum frequency of 3,8 GHz, with a total of 56 cores.

Geekbench 4:

Processeur Geekbench 4 – Score multi-core & single-core – & Linux 64-bit
Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M  3 672
 98 562
Dual AMD EPYC 7601  3 682
 67 444

Geekbench 4 is a complete benchmark platform with several types of tests, including data compression, image encryption, AES encryption, SQL encoding, HTML rendering, PDF rendering, Matrix calculation, Fast Fourier Transformation, 3D object simulation, photo editing, memory testing. This allows us to better visualize the respective power of these two chips. For each result, we took an average of the last 250 values on the famous benchmark software.

On the single-core side, the difference is 0%. In multi-core, the difference in terms of gap is 46%.

Cinebench R15:

Processeur Cinebench R15 – Score
Dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M  84
 8,000
Dual AMD EPYC 7601  140
 6,109

Cinebench R15 allows to evaluate the performance of a CPU by rendering a photorealistic 3D scene. The scene has 2,000 objects, 300,000 polygons, antialiasing, uses sharp and fuzzy reflections, bright areas, procedural shaders, shadows, etc. The faster the rendering of the scene is created, the more powerful the PC is, with a high number of points.

On this software, there is a difference of 67% in single-core. On the multi-core side, the gap reaches 31%.
