AMD’s configuration :
AMD “Whitehaven” X399, AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX, Geforce GTX 1080 (PILOTE 22.214.171.12493)
4 x 8 GB DDR4 3200, Windows 10 x64 Pro, SSD Samsung 850 Pro, Cinebench R15: 5099.3
Intel’s configuration :
Gigabyte X299 AORUS Gaming 9, Intel Core i9-7980XE, Geforce GTX 1080 (PILOTE 126.96.36.19993)
4 x 8 GB DDR4 3200, Windows 10 x64 Pro, SSD Samsung 850 Pro, Cinebench R15: 3335.2
Note: These results are to be taken with a grain of salt as we can find much better performance for the Intel Core i9-7980XE (4000+). In addition they used an old motherboard for the Intel CPU, while the AMD CPU is entitled to a new one, probably the best ASUS for this processor.
